Recently he has exhibited with sculptor Jane Adeney at the WKP Kennedy Gallery in North Bay, Ontario (2005) and ceramicist Susan Wintrop at the Burlington Art Centre (2009) and The Niagara Pumphouse Visual Art Centre in Niagara-on-the-Lake (2010). | Artist Statement | ||||
My work is an examination of the senses and a consideration of the ephemeral nature of human experience. The result is a body of work reflecting on the nature of perception and consciousness, an ontological inquiry of sorts. I feel my role as an artist is to dream (in Borges’ notion of writing as nothing more than a guided dream) on the borderline between my own personal experience and the ephemeral nature of our conscious and the world at large. |
